Official Contest Rules

To Enter:

No purchase necessary.  To enter the “DIY with Dear Ole Dad” contest, visit www.planitdiy.com (the website) and complete an official entry form.  No purchase necessary.  Void where prohibited.  Contest runs from Wednesday, May 1, 2013 through June 16, 2013.  Limit:  One online entry per email address.  In the event of a dispute, online entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the Authorized Account Holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry.  “Authorized Account Holder,” means the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider or any organization that is responsible for assigning addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.

Prize:

There will be one (1) prize awarded, a $500.00 shopping spree to be issued to the contest winner and spent in a local independent home improvement store where project materials were purchased.  Odds of winning are dependent on the number of eligible entries received.

The value of the prize is $500.00.

Contest Rules Include:

1. Entries must be filled out completely including narrative about the project entry.
2. Photos are required. Entries received without photos will be deemed incomplete and therefore will be disqualified.
3. Prize may be redeemed only at an independently owned retail hardware, home center or building supply store.

Eligibility:

Open only to legal residents of the United States and Canada.  Entrants must be 18 years of age or older.   Employees and family members of the North American Retail Hardware Association (NRHA) and any affiliates, subsidiaries are not eligible to win.  By submitting an entry, participant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules.  Entry constitutes permission to use winner’s name and likeness for publicity purposes without further compensation (except where prohibited by law).  Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and void where prohibited by law.

Determination of Winner:

On or about June 16, 2013, a panel of PlanItDIY.com (PDIY) judges will select a winning entry.  Judges’ decision is final.  Entrants need not be present to win.  Prize is guaranteed to be awarded.

To Claim Prize:

Potential winner only will be notified by email and/or phone.  If prize notification is returned undeliverable, unreachable or unclaimed, winner will forfeit and prize will be awarded to an alternate winner.  Winner will be awarded a $500.00 shopping spree referred to in Contest Entry.  Winning entrant will claim prize at the retail establishment identified in their contest entry.

Limitation of Liability:

The winner is solely responsible for payment of all federal, state and local taxes on prize and for any travel or other expenses not specifically mentioned in prize or description.  Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the Contest if fraud or technical failure compromises the integrity of the Contest determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion.

Winner’s List:

The winner’s name will be published on PlanItDIY.com’s website (www.planitdiy.com) after June 16, 2013.
