Kula Belle Enjoys a Break

The past few months have been a little crazy for me. Let me explain…

I guess you could say I have been on an extended leave of absence, a staycation, sabbatical, respite or rather simply put: a long break. All this time off lasted a little longer than expected because, well, as you can see—I broke my leg.

In a lot of ways, it was a very bad “break” for me, but kind of a lucky “break” since I got out of going to that dreaded obedience class that mom kept telling me about. Instead, I was relegated to the crate for the better part of 10 weeks!  But that really wasn’t all that bad either. Over the last few months or so, I’ve caught up on my sleep, TV (you won’t believe what they are cooking on The Chew) and what the neighbors are doing during the day; discovered peanut butter and marshmallows (they make pills go down the pipe easier); and learned how to conduct business on three legs! I made a lot of visits to see the wonderful Dr. B and her team who (once they got used to me) really started to like me a lot! Well, that’s what I’m going with, anyway.

This whole “break” thing had us making some quick adjustments in my routine. Mom made some trips to the local hardware store to get various things in order to make some modifications for me in our home. For instance, she had to gather materials from the lumber department to create a ramp so that I could maneuver stairs and the car easier. From the housewares department, she bought non-skid liners for any rugs in the house so I wouldn’t slip while hobbling on a daily basis, and from the pet department bought travel bowls so I could have my meals in bed and dry shampoo so I could still look beautiful even though I couldn’t get wet to shampoo! These were all great things that helped me to heal faster and more safely.

My life is returning back to normal these days. My leg is doing great, and all in all, I am a pretty lucky dog, because a lot of people helped me through. That’s the good news. The bad is that now that I am better, Mom is talking about the whole obedience-training thing again, and it’s starting to make me nervous. I thought she put the brakes on that whole crazy idea, but apparently not. Mom did tell me that there is something else I need to work on breaking, however: a lot of bad habits! Seems I picked up a couple… some… OK, a lot… while I was recuperating. C’mon, Mom—give me a break!

Take time to notice different things like the showbox outfit she picked out, the way she does her makeup or an accessory that she’s picked out. Compliments also don’t have to be purely physical.

It’s okay to want to win. However, relationships tutuapp are more about working with one another on a team rather than competing against one another.

Hello. Thanks for the great article. Also today I read this article https://www.agmglobalvision.com/best-hunting-dog-breeds about hunting dogs and decided to get one. Tell me, please, is the breed of dog that you describe in your article suitable for hunting?
