Magnetic Robots

One of the recent activities for one of the groups at my family’s daycare was to create magnetic robots. This activity takes no time to set up, but provides hours of fun for the kids. With the help of friends and co-workers we were able to collect many different sized cans. The rest of the materials we were able to get at our local independent hardware store.
Materials:
- Strong Glue
- Magnets
- Cans
- Washers
- Plastic Pieces
The kids start out by gluing various fun plastic pieces to magnets. The nice thing about the using items like washers is they are already magnetic.
After the glue has dried, the kids can let their imagination fly. It’s fun to see what kind of robot creations they come up with. This quick easy project provides kids hours of endless fun and creativity.
